Patrice's musical preferences are really opened with rock, heavy Metal, Funk, Acid-Jazz, Rock-fusion and listening to bands including Red Hot Chili Peppers, King's X, Fishbone, FFF, Skunk Anansie, Thin Lizzy, Mercyful Fate, AC/DC, Björk, Marcus Miller, Maceo Parker, Tower of Power etc..

He starts to play in many groups mostly rock and metal, and gaining experience all the time.
Bass players who captured his attention at this time include Steve Harris, Stu Hamm, and inevitably Marcus Miller.

To learn more and improve his musical studies, he enrolled at the CMCN at Nancy. He starts to play for many well known guitarists in France including Christophe Godin. This was soon followed by a year at the London Musicians Institute. He spent his time productively, playing with many bands in London´s clubs.

Patrice was still in London when he was contacted by Patrick Rondat - French Guitarist - in 1994. The meeting was a success, and Patrice appeared as bass player on the 'AMPHIBIA' album released in 1996.

The 'Amphibia Tour' followed the album release. Playing the entire Tour with Patrick, the inclusion of Patrice Guers own composition 'Tryon Avenue', gave the opportunity to see this bass man in action as a solo player!

In 2002, Patrice joined the great metal band Rhapsody for the tour, where he immediately conquered the fans. His officiel website www.patrice-guers.fr.tc was then created by a fan.

And in April 2004, he forms a new band called Inner Visions with Dominique Leurquin (2nd guitarist of Rhapsody). After many tours with Rhapsody, Rondat and Inner Visions, Patrice recorded SYMPHONY OF ENCHANTED LANDS Part II with Rhapsody, CONTROL THE PAST with Inner Visions and AN EPHEMERAL WORLD with Patrick Rondat.

We are in 2008, Patrice's experience is stronger than ever, all his bands have many projects. Rhapsody produced a LIVE ALBUM IN CANADA and the new album TRIUMPH OR AGONY is released. The band did a world tour in 2007. Fans are still waiting a live DVD of Patrick Rondat's concert in Paris.

On July 6, 2007 Rhapsody Of Fire released their first ever live DVD. Highlights of this double DVD are recordings from Rhapsody Of Fire's first tour through USA and Canada as well as their outstanding performance at the German Eartshaker Fest 2005.
