About Me

Background- Rough started raving and listening to pirate radio back in 1988, raving at illegal warehouse parties such as 'Wallis Rd', the 'Wonderland Arena' and 'The Dungeons' in Lea Bridge Rd. He was also an avid listener of stations such as Dance FM, Centre Force and Fantasy FM. Outrage got hooked in the summer of 1991, immediately started buying records and then we both started religiously raving every weekend at the 'Zodiac Dance Studios' in Sedgewick St, Homerton. We then branched out and were lovers of the 'Labrynth' in Dalston Lane, 'Crazy Club' at The Astoria and 'Orange' at the Rocket. We both decided to put raving money together to buy a pair of Technics decks in 1992.DJ History- We both joined Impact FM 88.2 in June 1992, through contacts with a friend on the station. The station closed down in Jan 1993, and in Feb 1993 we were contacted by the management of Eruption and informed that a new station was about to go on air and asked if we would like to join. We joined Eruption FM 101.3 previously doing separate shows, then we were given the Saturday afternoon slot from 4-6pm together, hence the Demolition Cru were born on the FM dial! We had only been on the station for a month, when one Saturday while doing a radio show, we were phoned by the 'Elevation' promoter who liked the show and asked if we would like to play for 'Elevation' at the Roller Express the following weekend! We played and were given a residency with 'Elevation' who at the time were the biggest rave promotion in London. Other residencies followed like; 'Life And Utopia', 'Tribal Dance' at the Paradise Club, 'Labrynth' at Dalston Lane and 'Thunder And Joy' at the SW1 and the Raw Club.In 1995 we were up for nominations as 'Best Newcomer' and 'Best Radio DJ' at the EHM Hardcore Dance Awards. We were also nominated for 'Best Radio DJ' at the EHM awards in 1996 & 1997. We were also asked by Kiss 100FM to host an old skool show on alternative weeks on their 'Givin' It Up' slot in 1998 on legal and licensed radio. Now, in 2001, after nearly 10 years of DJing, we have played for every old skool promotion at nearly every venue in the country that have come and gone. The Future- To remain a member of Eruption for as long as it is on, and just to carry on making people smile and dance, and to drink as much beer as we can! (Reckon we've got the best job in the world!)
