| In 2001, Tokyo Hiro and Timmy formed a band called “Dead Presidents” that later becomes “DISGRUNTLED”. At first, they were just fooling around but got really good feedback from his friends than they expected. So they decided to really devote themselves into this with the support of SKUNX. In 2006, Jay Bastard who is a bassist of Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards joined as a bassist, and Alex Empty who is Timmy’s friend from childhood and who also was a singer of Half Empties joined as a singer in 2008. Tim Armstrong gave them a name 'DISGRUNTLED' that he was going to name his side project band with Lars Frederiksen. He also designed the logo of the band. it is hard to put everything together because they all are working over the world. But they are planning to release the first album in early 2009. “we prefer to play with this guys than playing with OKAY people who live in the same city even though we all living in different cities .” “Don’t need to be so impatient for making good music.” 2001年に、ティミー・ワード、 TOKYO HIRO が中心となり、ディスグラントルの前身バン ド“デッド・プレジデンツ”（スラングでお 金の意）が結成される。最初は遊びだったが 、周りからの評価が思ったよりも高く、仲間 のSKUNXのメンバーの支えもあり、まじめに取 組むようになる。が、メンバーが世界中を び回る仕事を持っていたため、メンバーは 動していた。 2006年、 ラーズ&ザ・バスターズ のビッグ・ジェイが加わり、2008年にティミ の幼馴染で、元ハーフエンプティーズのア ックス・エンプティーが、ヴォーカルとし 加わり今のラインナップとなる。 ティム・アームストロング がいたく気に入り、バンド名をつけることを 買って出たという。ティム・アームストロン グは彼とラーズ・フレデリクセンがサイドプ ロジェクトで使おうとして取っておいた“デ ィスグラントル”を彼らに付けた。 ティム・アームストロング自身がロゴなどの デザインも手がけた。 『いい物を作るのに焦る必要はない』 『そこそこのメンバーを一つの町で集めるよ り、大変でも、遠くても、いい仲間と一緒に やりたい』 延期されている1stアルバムは2009年に予定さ ている。 |
