| 『Tetsuo Sakurai』 Tetsuo was born in Tokyo 1957 Nov, 13. He started to play bass when he was 13 years old.
He had been a member of the band named ”Casiopea” in 1976-1989, ”Jimsaku” with Akira Jimbo in 1990-1998.
He has released 40 CDs with the Band and Solo titles at all. Also he made 3 instructual videos and 6 live DVDs.
Now, he is composing and playing his own music as a solo artist with domestic and foreign musicians.The 3rd solo album "TLM20" recorded live concert with Casiopea members, released in 2000.
The 4th solo album "GENTLE HEARTS" recorded with Greg Howe & Dennis Chambers, released in 2001.
The 5th solo album "Cartas do Brasil" released in 2003. It was the self cover vocal album recorded in Rio de Janeiro with Djavan, Ivan Lins, Rosa Passos, Filo Machado and so on.
Tetsuo made the concert tour with Greg & Dennis in 2004. And he released the"GENTLE HEARTS TOOR 2004" live CD & DVD in 2005.
BRASIL CONNECTION ~feat. Filo Machado~ LIVE CD & DVD were released in 2006 & 2007.

ギターを弾き始める。
1976年--1989年迄"カシオペア"、
1990年--1998年迄"JIMSAKU"のメンバーとして活動
グループで全国各地と世界約20ヶ国で公演活
を繰り広げる。
1979年レコード・デビュー以来、バンドとソ
で合計40枚のアルバム、3本の教則ビデオ、6
のDVDをリリース。
現在はソロ・アーチストとして精力的に活動
中。独特の暖かさと激しさを持ち合わせたオ
リジナリティー溢れる楽曲とベース・プレイ
で幅広い音楽活動を行っている。
2000年、デビュー20周年記念ライブ・アルバム
【TLM20】をリリース。
2001年、グレッグ・ハウとデニス・チェンバ
スをメンバーに迎えた4枚目のソロ・アルバ
【GENTLE HEARTS】をリリース。
2003年、ジャバン、イヴァン・リンス、ホー
・パソス他ブラジルの豪華シンガーをゲス
に迎え、
リオデジャネイロ録音によるセルフカバー・
ボーカル・アルバム【Cartas do Brasil】をリリース。
2004年、『GENTLE HEARTS TOUR 2004』を行い、韓国JARASUM JAZZ FESTIVALに出演。
2005年、【GENTLE HEARTS TOUR 2004 LIVE DVD & CD】をリリース。JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL JAVA JAZZ FESTIVALに出演。
2006年、BRASIL CONNECTION ~feat. Filo Machado~LIVE CD & DVDをリリース。
